Hi everyone this is Audrey L Woodley, President and Founder of Changing Oasis Foundation, a non-profit that uses proper guidance, education, training and coaching to empower women to become more successful business owners. I am also one of the co-authors of the book “Network to Increase Your Net Worth” by Toni Coleman-Brown. I wrote Chapter “"Coaching and Networking Not Only Changed My Life, But Also Increased My Bottom Line Chapter 4. I’m kinda’ a give it to you straight person and I used this chapter as an opportunity to do just that!
I believe that “Networking”, when done correctly, is the gift that keeps on giving for years to come. So, go out there and network and meet more of the people who are interested in purchasing your products and services. Networking events are a smorgasbord of those opportunities because of the larger number of people attending the networking event. They give you as many opportunities to sell your goods as the event has attendees. Be strategic. Identify events that are more likely to provide you with the right demographics to increase your product sales. I have various entrepreneurship businesses and one of them is selling beautiful shoes. I will usually identify events that are beauty-based with all-female invitees/attendees. While it may be a stereotype that: “Every woman loves a pretty pair of shoes”. I have rarely left any one of those events without selling at least one pair of shoes. As a “matter-of-fact” my stylish taste in footwear has started so many conversations that were the building blocks to forging business partnership with other business women.

Solid communications skills is required. If you are not comfortable in communicating take a communication class at your local community college or join a local Toastmasters chapter. Investing in your communications skills will set you apart from some of your competitors.
BRANDING
If you are stating and business you cannot afford not to invest into branding. Standing out from the crowd in your industry is essential. Creating your brand is your lifeline to your business. Customers will identify you and your values before they even purchase your products or services. Branding is more than having a professional website designed, a great logo, and business cards. Create a strategy. Know your selling proposition, develop an online presence, and get to know your ideal client. By investing in your brand your business will generate a presence to your ideal client and you will be selling to them at the same time

co-authored a book with several other women in the business. This book provided me a great opportunity to meet and work with other women, who have been game changers in their community. Women who have and can demonstrate a specialized skill are encouraged to become Referral Partners
of Changing Oasis. When you become a Referral Partner you will be able to contract with Changing Oasis to receive client referrals. Referrals will be based on the member’s needs and/or membership packages. All Referral Partners are required to contribute (on a non-paid volunteer basis) their specialized skills to 3 group sessions (Instructional or Training Seminars) per year. We believe that the Group Sessions will provide the Referral Partner with greater business exposure and create more opportunity for them to advertise their services and products to individuals who may want a one-on-one consultation.
